Skoutari The small fishing willage of Skoutari is situated at teh beginning of the southern Mani (the Southern part of the middle finger, see map). Houses built from natural stone and narrow streets make Skoutari a typical Mani village. There are four taverns (during the season), a mini market and countless tiny churches. Skoutari beach with its very fine sand and shallow water, a paradise for children, is ony one of a number of beaches and bays in the area. A 20 kilometers drive each, will take you to the two small towns of Gythio and Areopolis. Both are more than worth visiting and provide you with anything you need for living. If you don't want to drive into town, there is a very well equipped supermarket in Vathi (5 km).Or, in case you don't want to shop at all, just enjoy one of the numerous taverns of the area.
